Out-of-Town Patients

Due to so many of our patients flying into our outpatient surgery center from out of town, we are dedicated to making all of our patients feel at home, even if home is many miles away. For our international patients or out-of-town patients, the La Peer Health Systems from out of town offers personalized care and services to help accommodate our rising medical tourism.

Lots of our fly-in patients plan to stay anywhere from two days to two weeks in order to have the safest and most successful recovery. Some patients even prefer to stay longer in order to enjoy their vacation in Los Angeles following their recovery.

We want to ensure that your stay in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills as easy, comfortable, and enjoyable as possible. The following services are offered in addition to anything else you might need:

  • Translator services
  • Post-operative recovery centers in Los Angeles, such as Pearl Recovery
  • Travel agent to coordinate flight and hotel transportation
  • Recommendations for site-seeing and tourism
  • Private nurses
  • Any other medical or travel related coordinating

In addition to special care, we also offer our fly-in patients discounted hotel rates at a variety of Beverly Hills and west Los Angeles hotels.

Our patients typically fly into the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), which is just a short drive from Beverly Hills where our outpatient surgery center is located. For the best car service to and from your hotel or the airport, we strongly recommend CoolRide. You can either schedule transportation with this LA based service by calling (888) 812-2665, or we can take care of this for you!

Q: What is the best way to contact the La Peer Health Systems if I live outside the U.S.?
A: International patients may call the phone number listed for our ambulatory surgery center, but the best way to contact us is via email (in our contact form). We will do our best to respond to you within 24 hours. In order to book your appointment, we will need your contact information prior to scheduling your consultation.

Q: How soon after my outpatient surgery can I board a long flight, including an international flight?
A: Your surgeon may recommend that you stay in a recovery center such as Pearl Recovery for a short period of time following your surgery, before you can board a long flight. This is to ensure your comfort and safety, as well as the success of your recovery. Typically, this period tends to be anywhere from a day to a week, depending on your unique case.

Q: What if I need to acquire a visa or passport in order to travel to your surgery center in Los Angeles?
A: For international ambulatory surgery patients, we offer all-inclusive services to assist you throughout the process, including a travel agent who can coordinate your visa, passport and any other travel documents, along with flight, hotel and transportation arrangements.

Q: What is the best way to get to the La Peer Surgery Center of Excellence?
A: Our outpatient surgery center is located at La Peer Health Systems, which is on Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills. There are a few different ways to travel to the surgery center. Patients who fly into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) or Bob Hope Airport in Burbank can take a short taxi or limousine ride to the surgery center, while patients coming from cities within California – such as Irvine, Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, and even Bakersfield – may also want to consider traveling by Amtrak train. Please refer to our outpatient surgery center map for details.

Many of our patients fly in from out of town or out of country, so we have extensive experience in accommodating any specific needs or concerns, and making sure each patient is taken care of with the highest quality of patient care. If you are traveling from outside of Los Angeles for surgery, then this is the surgery center for you!
