Eiman Firoozmand, M.D. is a colorectal surgeon at La Peer Health Systems, Past Chief of the Division of Colorectal Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and is a member of surgical faculty of the division of colorectal surgery and general surgery at CSMC.  He has served as voluntary faculty at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California (USC). He is the current President of the Southern California chapter of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery.

Dr. Firoozmand is board certified in colorectal and general surgery. His main clinical and research interests involve optimizing outcomes and techniques in the treatment of colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and benign colorectal and anorectal disease. These interests include the use of laparoscopic and robotic colorectal surgery as well as new techniques for hemorrhoidal surgery, such as the procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids (PPH) and transanal hemorrhoid dearterialization (THD).

He has written numerous articles for peer-reviewed publications including The American Surgeon, The Journal of Trauma, Surgical Laparoscopy & Endoscopy, Circulation Research and Circulatory Shock.

After receiving his bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Davis and his medical degree from the University of Southern California School of Medicine, Dr. Firoozmand completed his surgical residency at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and his fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the Keck School of Medicine at USC.
