Leo Treyzon, M.D., M.S. is a Beverly Hills gastroenterologist at La Peer Health Systems. He is board-certified in gastroenterology, clinical nutrition, and has a sub-specialization in nutrition and obesity. Dr. Treyzon is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Society of Physician Nutrition Specialists, American Society of Bariatric Physicians and the International Professional Nutrition Education Consortium.

Dr. Treyzon sits as the Chief of Gastroenterology at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles. He is also an active member in four Centers of Excellence at Cedars Sinai, serves on the Cancer Committee at Cedars Sinai, and is a faculty member as Assistant Professor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Dr. Treyzon’s research focuses on diet and obesity. He has published articles in peer-reviewed publications such as the Nutrition Journal, Journal of the American Diatetic Association, Alimentary Pharmacology and Therapeutics, the American Journal of Gastroenterology, Surgical Endoscopy, Metabolic Syndrome and Related Disorders, and Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He also has written a book chapter on colon cancer in Nutritional Oncology, Second Edition.

Dr. Treyzon earned his bachelor’s degree with High Honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara and his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego, and he holds a master’s degree in clinical research from the UCLA. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Cedars-Sinai and a Digestive Diseases Fellowship in at UCLA.
